SoulBuddy supports prayer, Scripture, reflection, and spiritual formation. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the SoulBuddy mobile app and related services.

Information handled by SoulBuddy

Information is handled to provide the spiritual practices you choose. This can include prayer text, goals, reflections, memories, altar entries, Circle settings, reminder preferences, progress, and a display name. SoulBuddy also creates device and installation identifiers and stores a secure session token so that the app can operate and synchronize saved information.

Recordings

Microphone access is requested only when you choose to record a memory or reflection. Voice recordings stay on the device and SoulBuddy does not upload them. You may remove recordings from the app or by removing the app's local data.

Synchronization and service providers

Written spiritual-practice information and settings may be synchronized with SoulBuddy's service to keep the app working across sessions. Optional AI-assisted prayer drafting sends the choices and records selected for that request to the AI provider used for that feature, currently DeepSeek. Circle links can open third-party services such as Telegram or WhatsApp; their privacy practices apply after you leave SoulBuddy.

Notifications and device features

Notification permission is used for reminders, Sacred Hours, prayers, altars, and Circles. These reminders are scheduled on the device. Audio playback and screen-awake controls are used only while a chosen spiritual practice is active.

How information is used

Information is used to provide saved practices, reminders, synchronization, support, reliability, and features you request. Support messages sent to us include the email address and content you provide.

Retention and deletion

Written information remains available while it is needed for the chosen service or until you delete it. You may request deletion of synchronized SoulBuddy information by emailing [email protected]. Please include the device or account details needed to identify the request. Local recordings remain on your device unless removed.

Security

SoulBuddy uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Changes

Changes to this policy will appear at this address with an updated date.
